Over the past several months, I've collected sounds, shapes, colours and patterns from a river walk near my home. I keep returning to this spot. Spellbound by the river's music. Restored by the peacefulness.
Getting out in nature ✨️ this river walk near my home has become the jumping point "the riff" for my latest body of work so I go here to reconnect to the ideas & feelings I want to bring into my work. I gather and collect notes on sounds, smells, thoughts, textures, memories and colours and jot these down in my journal to bring back to the studio. These act as an anchor for my practice.
